How I Work:

I listen closely, identify patterns and gaps, and translate what I learn into practical ways for people and systems to work better together.

My approach draws on over a decade of experience in:

  • arts integration

  • cultural competency

  • trauma-informed practice

  • participatory research

  • creative problem-solving

What I Bring:

Organizational Clarity: audits, staff interviews, surveys, leadership alignment, identifying gaps between mission and practice.

Story & Strategy: messaging, narrative development, audience engagement, funder communications, translating organizational value into compelling stories.

Creative Facilitation:: workshops that use storytelling and creative methods to solve problems, surface ideas, and develop shared direction.

The Process: Three Case Studies

Here’s an idea of how I work with different clients.

Streamlining a Cultural Nonprofit

Seeking organizational alignment, I worked with a 30-year old community advocacy nonprofit with a small staff serving over 6,000 people annually.

After interviews, assessments, board meetings, and synthesizing audience feedback, we streamlined their program offerings, clarified staff roles, and restructured board communications.

Communication in a National Social Justice Organization

To improve communication between leadership and staff, I conducted individual interviews and a cross-departmental needs assessment to identify organizational challenges and opportunities for improvement.

I then designed and facilitated a staff-wide workshop focused on team building, communication practices, and cross-departmental collaboration. This clarified future staff training objectives, shifted the responsibilities of several key roles, and opened up more room for dialogue around equity in workplace processes.

Staff Development for Arts Education

Reacting to the needs of youth in a city-wide education program, I created a trauma-informed curriculum to strengthen program outcomes.

After creating and delivering staff trainings, I shifted curriculum goals to center student voice and staff skills alongside learning objectives. We saw an increase in student engagement, attendance, and creativity.
